No holding back
When you watch a female wrestling match between two girls who have never seen each other before you expect to see some study, a cautious approach and then an increase in pace and intensity.
Well, forget about it. What you see today is 100% strength and technique since inception, with no holding back.
Charge!
Andrea uses her skills to trap Xena in terrific scissors, and she is squeezing as hard as she can, but that’s not enough and between grunts and moans of effort Xena manages to break the hold and immediately attacks Andrea. We get to see one submission, and the match continues as a spectacular display of power and skills.
Andrea can’t breathe
At some point, unfortunately, Andrea shows serious breathing issues and the match has to be stopped. Further medical exams didn’t reveal any condition so we can say all is in order.
It goes without saying that Andrea and Xena must meet again to finish the job!
Is it normal that this fight ends in a victory for one and a defeat for the other? It’s not fair in my opinion, because both fighters couldn’t defend their chances until the end. It should be a match without winner, because it did not come to the end.
But one had to forfeit the match…
A nice fight full of power, and balanced in my opinion, with highlights for each of the fighters… too bad it didn’t come to the end, because I believe that a reversal of the situation was possible. Why not a rematch in a year, to see how Xena and Andrea have progressed?
Andrea is an awesome fighter but in a year time Xena (if she keeps training hard) will be quite skilled. Then her huge weight (and height/size) advantage will be too much for Andrea to have a fair fight.
I’m not saying Andrea couldn’t win, but if Xena improves her skill a bit, Andrea would have to climb the mount K2 to win.
We’ll find the right time to make it happen, it’s likely to be earlier than one year. Also, it could be another format… catfight maybe?
That is for sure in our plans!
Really quite concerned for Andrea and her constant respiratory problems. She refers to them in several mid-fight interviews, she frequently complains of recent bronchial illnesses and suffers heavily in matches where the temperature has been turned up or it’s outside and a hot day. There might not have been anything glaring on the medical exam this time but I’d say she is well advised to have a deeper pulmonary examination. Maybe it’s congential and I am no expert but something is not right here.
Hi, thank you for expressing your concerns. Andrea has occasional breathing issues and rest assured she is undergoing specialistic, in-depth medical tests. Also, we have the safety of the girls as our first concern (and their privacy too). So each time she is stepping on the mats for a match, it means that she received all the necessary, professional opinions and the final green light.
On top of that, it goes without saying that all IFW girls undergo periodic examinations in order to receive the necessary medical certificates to wrestle competitively as prescribed by law.
Thank you. IFW care for roster NEVER in doubt or question BTW but Mother Nature does what she wants care or not was the basis of my query. Moving on: Would have been interesting to see how Robi fared against the Warrior Princess but then again what has happened to Robi? She seems to have vanished. More kids or more time with the existing one?
…existing onesssssssssss 😉
